Training Management
This course is
intended for agency executives, command staff and supervisory
personnel. Over two days, instructors will discuss various
aspects of training management. Emphasis will be placed on
needs assessment, planning and implementation.
Specific items
to be discussed include:

the analysis of training needs;

development of a written training
policy and procedure document;

development of a written training
plan;
-
implementation of the training
plan;
-
development of written training
objectives;
-
development of lesson plans;
-
construction of written and
practical testing instruments;
-
training safety;
-
measurement of training
applicability.
The format for
this class is essentially classroom lecture and discussion, with
small group exercises. Class participants should bring any
departmental training documentation (policies, procedures, training
plan, etc.) with them to class.
