Participated in Transportation Security Administration’s airport
security personnel training initiative, the largest civilian
training initiative since WWII. Selected to be a member of the team
that trained the first class of screeners, Grand Rapids MI, 8/02.

Recipient of two life-saving commendations. One commendation
awarded for saving the life of a fellow officer on a domestic
call. This incident was used by Calibre Press in its Street
Survival seminar from 1988 to 1996. Second commendation awarded
for critical investigative work that led to discovery and rescue of
a newborn infant discarded by mother.
